How to Install Self Adhesive PDLC Smart Film to existing Glass

Self-Adhesive Smart Film basically adds a layer of silicone/electrostatic film to the original Dimming Film. After cleaning the glass surface, the self-adhesive film is attached to the glass like a mobile phone film, so that ordinary glass becomes a Smart Glass . In addition, the Self-Adhesive Intelligent Film is a customized product, which can be produced according to the actual application size of the customer.

The Smart PDLC Self-Adhesive Film is not only convenient and quick to install, but also in terms of cost, the Self-Adhesive Switchable Film saves the cost of the original glass and all the costs incurred in processing the glass. The price is relatively favorable, and it can be accepted by more people. this product.

Especially for some customers who have installed the glass but want to have a dimming effect, you can directly attach the film to the original glass, eliminating the tedious and wasteful removal of the glass, and solving the problem of installing the glass without removing the glass.

1. Self-adhesive film construction steps:
Note: Since the self-adhesive film is packed in a roll, it is difficult to stick if taken out directly, and it is easy to warp. It is best to place the self-adhesive film in a clean and dust-free place in advance and let it rest for 1 hour before pasting it.
It is recommended to connect the transformer for debugging before installing the self-adhesive film to see if it can atomize normally and transparently.
The installation environment should be clean and dust-free when applying the film.

1. Complex dimensions
First use a tape measure to measure the width and height of the glass and film to see if they are correct. (If the membrane is large, you can use sharp scissors to trim off the excess, but avoid the electrodes)

2. Clean the glass
To clean glass surfaces:
1) First spray the glass surface with soapy water, and then use a glass scraper to remove glass particles and dust.
2). Clean the glass with clean water, spray it on the glass surface, and use a cleaning scraper to clean the glass.

(Note: This film can only be dry adhered). After cleaning the glass, wipe off any water droplets still attached to the glass surface with a dry cloth. Do not leave water on the glass.

3. After the glass is clean , it’s time to stick the film.

Self-Adhesive Dimming Film is divided into 3 layers, namely the adhesive protective film 1 (marked as the one that is torn off before the film), and the Smart Film protective film 3 (marked as the one that is torn off after the film is stuck. Facial mask)

1. is a back adhesive protective film, 3 is a Privacy Smart Window Film protective film, 4 is a back glue, 5 and 6 are ITO films, and 2 is a self-adhesive dimming film composed of 4, 5, and 6.

Please be careful when removing the protective film, do not separate 4, 5, 6 and ② please remove the protective film and use it as a label sticker.

Special tools for filming: special scraper tool set for filming.

Paste it from top to front, align the upper corner first to see if the film and glass are neat.

2. After aligning, tear off the protective film. Stick the film on the glass.
3. Tear off the protective film a little while sticking, if there are bubbles in the sticking process, you can use a scraper to drive it out.
After all the stickers are finished, solder the prepared circuit to the copper sheet where the electrode position of the dimming film is exposed outside the film;
After welding and testing, remove the protective film of the 3 dimming film (there are stickers on the four corners of the film: ②Please remove the protective film to use) and test it with electricity. (See if it can be transparent and foggy normally.)
